Our story

Hi, my name is Fi and I'm the florist at Corky and Prince. Together with my husband Alan (artist, craftsman and general fixer), we aim to deliver exquisite flowers and visual styling for your wedding or event. This is our story.

Growing up in Cornwall, I was lucky to be surrounded by fields and woods, hedgerows and gardens, so the natural world has always played a big role in my life. And whilst I spent 27 years in the corporate world of retail banking, I continued to develop my floral art skills with regular design competitions and church flower arranging. Over the years, I've created wedding venue flowers for family and friends and so turning my passion into a business felt like the right thing to do. I trained with the renowned tutors at the Academy of Flowers in Covent Garden, one of the top training schools in the UK. The course was fantastic and really super-charged my passion for all things floral and I continue to invest in learning the latest skills.

My style reflects my love of gardening and nature - I like to use beautiful foliage, seed heads, scented herbs and succulents as well as unusual flowers to create displays that reflect the seasons.

My partner in life and business is my wonderful husband Al. A man of many passions including but not limited to cycling, guitars and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC! Al is my creative foil. In more recent years, he has rekindled a passion for creative writing as well as guitar building. His patience and endless support are essential to the smooth running of Corky and Prince.

We're easy going folks and we love what we do. We would also love to help you turn your ideas into reality for your wedding or event. Call us or drop us an email for a free no-obilgation discussion.
