My ode to the spooky season - if black is your thing, then make your day all about monochrome. I can even find you black flowers! Read on for lots of inspo on how to style your black wedding with images from our wedding editorial photoshoot at Black Friars Priory in Gloucester on the Winter equinox.
For the wedding ceremony set up, we created a modern pillar design with a blend of fresh and dried flowers including translucent white 'Honesty' seed heads which really added to this look.
Go big on candlelight and layer up the textures with linens and sheepskin. We created a seating area for the bride and groom at the Priory in the heart of Gloucester. This would make a great photo backdrop area for your guests to get selfies.
Swerve the traditional cake and have @theorchidkitchen make you a rock sculpture cake. Your guests will be amazed at what they can eat.
The bridal bouquet was a statement hand-tied design, filled with white roses and a dramatic cascade of black calla lilies.
For the table flowers, we kept it simple with dried and fresh flowers in white ceramic bud vases and a few larger sculptural designs. Sleek stationery for designer and stylist Junie Poonie completed the look.
