ELMORE COURT,
GLOUCESTERSHIRE
750 years of history meets the energy of an Ibiza club—Elmore Court is a venue unlike any other, and we are proud to be frequent floral collaborators within its walls.
From the "formalities" of the stately home to the "festivities" of the eco-friendly Gillyflower, our floral designs are tailored to highlight the venue's unique architecture. Whether it's meadows of flowers dancing down the Great Hall aisle, statement urns on the formal lawns for an outdoor "I do," or contemporary floral clouds in the Gillyflower window niches, we bring a wealth of experience and passion to every Elmore wedding.
The Magic of Wedding Florals at Elmore Court
Having styled many weddings at Elmore Court, we can confidently say it is a venue that has it all. From the historic grandeur of the main house to the contemporary, sustainable soul of the Gillyflower, it provides a spectacular canvas for floral artistry.
Every corner of Elmore offers a new opportunity for styling:
-
The Entrance: We often frame the historic stone steps with grand urns or rising floral columns to set the tone from the moment guests arrive.
-
The Ceremony: In the Hall, we create romantic, candle-lit settings, often utilising the marble table between the angels as a focal point for a signature arrangement. Or perhaps the Walled Garden for a truly English country vibe, the meadows of flowers creating an aisle to your ceremony back drop.
-
The Gillyflower: This space is made for impact. We love filling the window niches with ethereal floral clouds or lining long tables with a curated mix of vases and flickering candlelight.
Whether you are planning a classic alfresco ceremony on the formal lawn with a "broken" floral arch or a high-energy reception, we know the "Elmore flow" inside out.

Autumn Wedding Flowers at Elmore Court
There's something magical about the light in autumn — it has a golden glow that creates a special warmth and radiance, even on the coolest days. This is a time of year to celebrate the seasonal shift with rich hues and interesting textures in your wedding flowers.

The Narrative of the Season
The addition of some glossy berries, the spectacular blooms of dahlias and chrysanthemums, the changing colour of the native foliage — we weave these seasonal touches into every aspect of your wedding flowers narrative so the final look is soft, subtle, and very much captures the moment in time.

Embracing the Darkness
For a different take on autum, this "Glam Black" wedding at Elmore Court serves as a masterclass in blending historic grandeur with a bold, modern edge. Moving away from traditional fall rust tones, my clients wanted an aesthetic that embraced a sophisticated palette of deep plum, gold, and matte black, perfectly complementing the "authentically old" character of the House. The transition from a romantic ceremony in the Hall to a high-glamour reception in the Gillyflower is defined by an abundance of candlelight, celestial details, and a moody, decadent atmosphere. Winter Wedding Flowers at Elmore Court
Elmore Court is a rare venue — it absolutely works all year around. As the days shorten, the focus turns to the interior of the house, where the historic architecture provides a warm, protective embrace against the winter chill. Even in the deepest winter, we find beauty in the architectural shapes of evergreens, the velvet softness of winter roses, and the delicate structure of hellebores. It is a season of quiet elegance and profound romance.

Winter Wedding Ceremonies at Elmore Court
Winter ceremonies in the Music Room are truly evocative, with gentle sunlight reflecting through the stained-glass windows. The indoor ceremony takes place in front of the marble table, flanked by two marble statues of angels leaning in to whisper you their blessings. For the florals, we love to line the aisle with lush greenery and seasonal blooms, paired with lots (and lots) of candlelight to create a path of flickering warmth.

Winter Bouquets and Buttonholes
Many clients opting for a winter wedding do so because they love the cosy vibes of candlelight and Cotswold stone. Yet, understandably, there is often a concern about the flowers available at that time of year.
Let me reassure you — thanks to the wonder of the European flower markets, we have a fabulous choice of stunning blooms even in the heart of winter. You can expect:
-
Classic Romance: Abundant roses and blousy hydrangeas, immaculate orchids and quirky anthuriums.
-
Winter Jewels: Delicate hellebores and dancing ranunculus, glossy berries and fragrant narcissi.
-
Textural Modernity: This is the season where I truly lean into my love of texture. I often bring in unexpected dried elements, such as papery, ethereal honesty seed pods, to provide a modern, artistic twist this a bridal bouquet.

Spring Wedding Flowers at Elmore Court
As the days lengthen and the swallows return, the lawns at Elmore Court are carpeted with delicate spring flowers and the air has a sparkling, fresh quality to it. This is the season of new growth, where neutrals and soft pastels reign supreme for spring weddings.

A Botanical Awakening
The estate’s gardens come alive with a subtle, shifting palette. From the first snowdrops and crocuses to the vibrant bursts of daffodils and tulips in the borders, the grounds provide an incredible natural backdrop for photography. We love to mirror this "awakening" in our designs, using locally grown, seasonal stems that carry the crisp, clean fragrance of the Cotswold countryside. Spring brings with the season's most delicate offerings—think nodding tulips, fragrant daffodils, and the intricate, paper-thin whirls of ranunculus. We often incorporate trailing jasmine or flowering cherry branches to add height and movement.

Spring Wedding Ceremony Flowers at Elmore Court
Spring is the perfect time to frame the historic stone entrance with "growing" installations. We often design floral meadows that appear to sprout from the steps, leading guests into the house. Inside the Hall, the light through the stained glass feels particularly vibrant, hitting the "whispering angels" and reflecting off the soft, seasonal petals of your ceremony arrangements.

Spring Wedding Flowers for the reception in the Gillyflower at Elmore Court
The Gillyflower is particularly magical during the spring months. Its large picture windows and roof lantern flood the space with natural light, blurring the lines between the historic house and the awakening gardens outside. This abundance of light allows us to play with transparency and delicate textures that might be lost in the moodier winter months.
For your wedding breakfast, we lean into this sense of freshness:
-
The Long Table Look: We line the long, family-dining style tables with a curated selection of charming bud vases. This creates a "meadow" effect that runs the length of the room, allowing for easy conversation while maintaining a high-impact floral presence.
-
Cake tables and photo backdrops also get a floral make-over with hanging floral 'curtains'.
-
A Soft Palette: The floral designs echo the light, using a palette of ivory, blush, and peach that feels airy, romantic, and full of life.
