Marquees are a floral design gift - no awkward wallpaper or scary hotel carpet to deal with in terms of colour planning and designing - instead a gorgeous blank canvas with high ceilings and lots of natural daylight.
For this quintessentially Cotswold garden wedding in a marquee at the family's home we wanted to create a real connection to nature with the different hues and textures of greenery. The designs started at the marquee entrance with large pots filled with delicate branches of foliage and a froth of white 'ammi majus' flowers around the base.
Tall birch trees hugged each of the king poles, adding height and drama with twinkling fairy lights woven through the branches to add to the ambience as dusk fell.
The long banqueting tables were adorned with lots of eclectic glass bud vases filled with locally grown flowers and a flowing line of foliage. Green linen finished the look with oak cross back chairs adding to the sense of elegance. If white and green is your dream, then this is the way to bring it to your marquee wedding.
The marbled cake finished the styling with fresh flowers at each tier and the church flowers were repurposed to add the overall sense of softness and nature.
