Interior designer Melissa and her soulmate Tom chose Kin House in Wiltshire for their wedding day, and florals featured high on their priority list. Melissa and I worked closely to create a cohesive look and feel to the ceremony and reception spaces, blending soft sky blues and warm whites. The stand-out feature was the huge floral canopy of hanging flowers in the reception space, nestled amongst a ceiling draped by incredible textile artist Mia Sylvia. This centrepiece literally took everyone's breath away as they entered the Kilvert Hall for the reception. The ceremony took place in the Garden House and the backdrop was an abundant implied floral arch, full of native foliage and huge white and blue hydrangeas and delphiniums. To complement her bespoke Sally Bean Couture gown with lace train details, I designed a timeless bridal bouquet of pure white calla lilies. The guest tables were filled with floral centrepieces and candles whilst the top table had a stunning full length floral runner with our signature floral 'puddles' of flowers to the floor at each end. A day to remember.

Love Notes

"Where to begin! Fi is absolutely an expert in her field. She was clear, communicative, and helpful, along with being so kind and professional. She managed to turn my vision into real life and without her guidance my wedding day would not have been the same. She is a joy to work with and there is not a person at my wedding who was not in awe of how beautiful all of the flowers were. She goes above and beyond for all of her clients and it shows on the day"

The Bridal Bouquet and Bridesmaids Flowers for summer wedding at Kin House

For Melissa and her stunning Wiltshire wedding at the historic yet fashion-forward Kin House, the floral narrative was defined by a commitment to sophisticated, modern lines. Melissa and I developed the specific design for her Calla lily bridal bouquet by carefully considering the exquisite textures and silhouette of her Sally Bean Couture gown and her intricate lace veil.

For the modern bride, the choice of bloom is about more than just colour; it is about architecture and form. The intricate, organic textures of the lace veil edging were intentionally juxtaposed with the smooth, cool surfaces of the white blooms in her Calla lily bouquet.

I created this bespoke Calla bouquet specifically so Melissa could carry the flowers with a quiet, effortless grace—rested simply across her arm and held close to the body. This allowed the floral form to move naturally with her throughout the day. This Calla lily bridal bouquet worked beautifully for my bride, offering a sleek, contemporary alternative to traditional garden styles while maintaining a sense of timeless elegance.

The bridesmaid bouquets were designed with equal intention. The bridesmaids were striking in their satin floral print dresses in shades of cornflower blue and crisp white. To ensure the overall look remained elevated and uncluttered against the pattern of the fabric, we opted for similar Calla lily designs for the bridesmaid bouquets.

This choice provided a sharp, structural contrast to the fluid, printed dress fabric, ensuring the bridal party felt cohesive yet distinct. By using a single-variety bloom for the bridesmaid bouquets, we created a visual "rest" for the eye, allowing the beauty of the prints and the architecture of the flowers to coexist perfectly.
