Elegant neutrals church wedding followed by a reception at The Pear Tree at Purton in Wiltshire

This wedding was so full of love and personal stories! From the groom's Ghanian Kente cloth bow-tie to the bride's dramatic traditional african dress change for the evening party - there was so much colour and vibrancy woven throughout this amazing early autumn wedding at The Pear Tree in north Wiltshire.

The couple choose a traditional church service at St. Mary's church in Purton. Most clients don't even realise this quaint English country church is just a short walk from the Pear Tree so your guests can park at the venue and stroll over. But I'd recommend a car for the bride's transport, particularly if you have splurged on some lush shoes for the day.

The colour palette for this one was all about the sensational autumn flower - the dahlias, and in particularly the showstopping Cafe Au Lait variety. This hero flower set the tone for the whole scheme and it worked beautifully, uniting the styling across the bridesmaids dresses and the table styling.

Elegant neutral bouquets and boutonnières at The Pear Tree

Jen choose a mermaid fit and flare lace gown for her wedding day and we designed a show stopping bouquet of creamy dahlias, pale pink Quicksand roses and other seasonal flowers to complement her bridal style. The result was a gorgeously elegant design, full of subtle hues of vanilla, latte and blush together with fragrant eucalyptus and interesting textures. Yeboah wanted to celebrate his Ghanian heritage and commissioned Kente cloth bow-ties. I asked for some of the fabric too, so we could add a little touch of colour to the stems of the buttonhole flowers for the groom and his groomsmen. Personalising your wedding with details that mean something significant to the two of you is always a recipe for a memorable day.

The bridesmaids wore off the shoulder dresses from We are unwritten and the flowers in their matching bouquets worked perfectly. I just love the picture of the girls all together at The Pear Tree with their flowers.

Wedding Ceremony Florals for St. Mary's Church in Purton, Wiltshire

The ceremony took place at the ancient stone parish church of St. Mary's in Purton. This church is located off a quiet lane surrounded by trees and woods. It's surprisingly spacious inside so we went for large floral urns at the front of the aisle to frame Jen and Yeboah as they made their vows. After the ceremony, we carried the flowers back to add a splash of colour to the Orangery.

"Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you so much for our gorgeous flowers! We absolutely adored them and had so many compliments throughout the day! They looked AMAZING and the colours were incredible.

They’re all safely installed across our friends and families houses and looking fab!"

Wedding Reception Florals for The Pear Tree in Purton, Wiltshire

The wedding reception for family and friends was held in the elegant Orangery at The Pear Tree with its glass walls giving fantastical views across the gardens. The couple choose a traditional long top table and we added a rich foliage garland along the whole length, woven with pale pink and peach roses and gently scented flowers. The bride made a speech and the groom shed happy tears in what was a very emotional celebration. Guest table flowers were kept understated with low footed metallic bowls of warm peach and neutral autumn blooms.
